This policy explains what SealedMargin ("we") collects when you use sealedmargin.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and we can't read them.
- Inventory data you enter: products, purchases, prices, taxes, sales and fees, and target profits.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and browser type, kept by our hosting and database providers for security and reliability.
- Analytics and advertising data: only if you accept cookies. See below.
How we use it
- To run the service: sign you in, save and show your inventory, and calculate your profit.
- To email you about your account, such as confirming your address or resetting your password.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- If you accept cookies, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising.
We don't sell your personal information, and your inventory data isn't shown to other users.
Cookies and analytics
The site stores what it needs to keep you signed in. Analytics and advertising cookies, such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, are loaded only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Who we share data with
We use service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf:
- Supabase, for the database and sign-in.
- Vercel, for hosting.
- Resend, for sending account emails.
- Google, for analytics and advertising measurement, if you accept cookies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and inventory data while your account is open. To have your account and data deleted, or to get a copy of it, email support@sealedmargin.com from the address on your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to certain uses. Email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
Your data is stored in a database with access rules that limit each account to its own information, and connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
SealedMargin isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes we'll tell you on the site or by email.
